Three Glamorous Up-Do’s Seen at the 2018 Golden Globes

Three Glamorous Up-Do’s Seen at the 2018 Golden Globes

Movie awards aren’t really a show until we see glamorous up-dos on the red carpet, shining in the paparazzi flashlights. The latest Golden Globe Awards was a real hairstyle treat as numerous styles were seen. From sexy boy cuts and low knots, to glam chignons, the red carpet was a true festival for the eyes. Here are the three we liked the most.

Kate Bosworth

Kate’s unbelievably sleek bun really complimented her Dolce & Gabbana gown. The up-do was created by applying a small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment Light. To add a touch of volume, she added a touch of Root Boost.

She soaked her hair from tip to root with Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion and by using a round brush, she blow dried big hair sections and used her fingers to create a light wave for a natural look. The hair was brushed into a ponytail and Moroccanoil Treatment Light was used for calming it down, before twisting it into a hairpin-secured solid bun.

Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams appeared on the red carpet with a modern looking, yet still elegant chignon. The modern look came from the impressive volume and wavy texture. The up-do started with the Dove Serum in Oil. She applied it on damp hair, which sealed the cuticle and nourished the hair.

Then, she sprayed her entire root area with the Sally Hershberger's Root Envy spray and blew out her hair with the assistance of a round brush.

To create that beach-wave look, she wrapped sections of her hair around a double-barrel curling iron. This was followed by spraying each section with a dry shampoo. Her strands were then anchored at the back, for that super-sexy, glam appearance.

Alicia Vikander

Alicia Vikander walked the red carpet with a gorgeous twisted bun up-do. The process started with complete tip-to-root misting with the Tresemme Sea Salt Spray.

The second step was rough-drying the hair with the hands so that the natural texture remains. This was followed by a layer sectioning and making a deep side part.

The next step was creating a rolled shape. This was done by applying a mixture of a Keratin Infusion Smoothing Serum and Make Waves Shaping Gel Cream to the front portion, and twisting hair away from the face and up.

The final touch was fastening the lengths of hair into a low ponytail, and forming a low hand bun, and topping off with extra firm hair spray.
